“Die Planetaren Demokrat_innen” (The Planetary Democrats) is a political association within the meaning of § 8 EuWG in Germany.
“Die Planetaren Demokrat_innen” was founded in 2023 on the initiative of Anton Rüpke. He studied Sustainable Management at TU Berlin (without degree) and worked as a sustainability analyst for several years. His preoccupation with the absence of voting rights for animals and plants preceded the founding of the organisation for several years. The projects Organisms Democracy and Planetary Personhood were further inspirations.
